Since offense is the core of NFL 17. Let’s start on the defensive side of ball. Here we will talk about the Madden NFL 17 ratings. And the other two player ratings we will talk in the other article. Sammie Coates, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers (up 2 points to 74 Overall). Great, just what the Steelers need - another weapon on offense. Against the Jets last week Coates had 139 yards and two touchdown catches in Pittsburgh ’s victory and is quickly becoming Ben Roethlisberger's second passing option. For Steeler fans in Madden you have an offense with multiple seams of attack with Le’Veon Bell, Antonio Brown and now Sammie Coates.

You could probably do better receiver wise but with an increase of seven in Route Running, Coates could be a sleeper in your Ultimate Team as a second or third string wide receiver. Cameron Wake, LE, Miami Dolphins (down 3 points to 86 Overall). It seems that Wake, like the Dolphins, is on a downward spiral. Without Olivier Vernon, Wake seems mortal and teams are starting to see that. Down three in awareness and down four in finesse moves means that Cameron Wake is not a top-five defensive end in the league. He could still be useful as a number two DE in Madden but his stock is dropping fast.
